Great glutes!

My dear coworker couldn't work out with me yesterday (Wednesdays are our leg days) as she had family in town so I was *potentially* going to blow off my leg day workout since I've done so much this week already.  My fiancé was coming in for his own workout though and he asked if I was working out my legs. Somehow that was all it took to get me motivated and remind me that just because I didn't have my workout buddy doesn't mean I get to slack off.

And holy moly, this workout was ANYTHING BUT slacking!!! D only did about half of it with me since he started before I did and was doing his own thing. He did say today that his glutes were really sore too though!   Try it out and let me know what you think!!

Quick Upper Body Workout

I have been setting a goal for myself to complete two hard upper body workouts each week on my own.  Aside from/in addition to all of the classes I teach. I really want to get stronger and more toned/defined before my wedding this fall.

Today I had about 30 minutes in between clients and belted out this workout.  Even though I didn't do chest or back, it was a great workout that left my arms feeling noodle-like!  Thankfully I was somehow still able to do Bodypump afterwards.

Todays workouts:
Teach Kettlebells
Train Upper Body
Take Bodypump
Spin (with my handsome Fiance!)

Free Workout Clothes! Woohoo!

I mentioned previously about ordering clothes from Fabletics.  They have been awesome. I wear the top all the time for running outside and warming up for workouts inside too.  The capris I ordered are also fantastic. They feel like cotton and are so comfortable.  I wear them on my days when I workout for four hours (three of them back to back to back), and they perform amazingly well!

Another great benefit of this company is their referral program. When you review their products and refer friends to check out their products you get points that can be used towards free outfits. I just ordered my first free outfit and can't wait for it to arrive!! Especially with the warmer Spring weather coming soon (hopefully!!), I think this would be a great set with the shorts, top and sleeves.  I can't wait to try it out!

I would definitely recommend these products and this company so far, so check it out for your self! :)

Snow Day!

So much snow!

Georgia really wanted to snuggle with her daddy but there wasn't any room :(

Snuggles :)

While snow days are fine for snuggles, naps, and quality time catching up with the fiancé (aka wedding planning chats all day for as long as he can handle it between watching the olympic hockey games), we go a little stir crazy around here without activity. We went to our community's fitness center and while D lifted, I caught up on my recent Runner's World issue on the Elliptical.  I can't begin to describe how much better I felt afterwards. It was only a quick 45 minute session, but it made a world of difference in my mood. Its not that I was in a bad mood, its just amazing how much better I feel afterwards though!

Chilly Sunday runs

Holy moly February has started out cold!! K and I went running yesterday and even though the temperature was supposed to be 44 it sure felt way way way colder!!! I don't know if it was the humidity, the wind, or what, but it was very very cold!!!

Thank goodness I have a fun running buddy to pound the trails with! :)

Don't leave home without...

My Garmin Forerunner 10 and my RoadID!! They make my runs safe and fun! :)

My wonderful fiancé took me to Shortpump (outside of Richmond, VA) to spend some time together and go out to dinner for my birthday.  While we were there we stopped by Bass Pro Shops for him, and Athleta for me! I was really excited to try on some clothes to see how they fit and to get my 30% Fitness Professional discount set up. I tried on the Relay Capris and the Chatarunga Capris.  I liked the Chatarunga ones the best, although since I had just ordered an outfit from Fabletics I decided I didn't need to rush into purchasing anything right now.  Anyway, I also noticed that they had the Garmin Forerunner 10 in stock and I had to post on how much I have enjoyed using mine. The only feature I wish it had that it doesn't is a stopwatch to use "the rest of the time" such as when I am training clients or teaching bootcamp classes. I initially thought that the wrist strap was going to be too long, but I am loving its length so I can keep it on top of all my layers during these cold winter runs!! I also love my RoadID for its safety purposes, and its really comfortable even under tons of winter clothes.

Birthday Run!!!

Happy 31st to me!!!

My knee was hurting pretty badly thanks to banging it on a cardio machine earlier so I only got about three miles in today aside from teaching Strength & Tone in the morning, and kettle bells in the evening.

My wonderful friends and fiancé took me out to dinner after Kettlebell class and we had a great time!  I am so looking forward to this year, particularly that I get to become Mrs B in September!!!! :) Woohoo!!!!

Snowy Evening Runs

Beautiful sunlight on my way back down to meet my running buddy.
Gorgeous sunset over the frozen pond

I've been trying to step up my cardio and long runs lately so I texted my running buddy to see if she wanted to add in a run Friday evening in addition to our usual weekend run.  She was up for it but a work committment delayed her arrival. I had planned on getting there early anyway, so I decided to just go ahead and run the trail up and back until her arrival.  It was definitely a lot more chilly than I had thought, I was only wearing capris and then a short sleeved and long sleeved top.  Luckily I texted her that and she showed up well dressed and with an extra technical top and gloves for me too!!! It was a fantastic surprise that she had extra clothes for me!!!  We ran up and back and had, as always, a fantastic time chatting and talking about life. Having a good running buddy is such a blessing!!!!!

I ended up with 8.5 miles total which is great and my knee only needed a little ice afterwards and was good to go!!!

Fitness Apparel

I've been wanting to get some new workout clothes since I wear mine ALL the time and could use a few new pieces. I am always looking to find a good deal as well, since there's always a budget to think about!!  :)  I have heard that as a Fitness Professional I can get a 30% off discount at Athleta, but its only "in store" and although they have one in Richmond, that's still about an hour away and I don't get over that way much.  Aside from buying my wedding dress that is :) :)

I have heard also that Reebok does a program for Fitness Professionals so I just signed up for that too.  More info and a review to come!!!

The coolest part of this post is about my recent purchase though!!

I just ordered myself a new outfit from Fabletics. You may have seen it featured in Shape Magazine with Kate Hudson. She founded this great company which makes athletic clothing (with amazing reviews).  You log on and fill out a few questions (what do you most like to do for exercise? run? yoga? lift weights? etc, where do you like to exercise? yoga studio? indoors? outdoors, etc) and they instantly give you outfit recommendations PLUS 50% off their VIP pricing.  There are some insanely cute outfits on there. I ordered their Lima Capris and a long sleeved Desio top. I can't WAIT for them to arrive!!!  There is also a referral program, so if you don't mind, use the link below to take a look!! :)

I'll be sure to post reviews once I receive my new gear!!!!
