About Me

Hey yall!

I hope you enjoy my blog! This blog is mainly a place to record and discuss training for my races and fitness topics.  I would love to hear feedback on topics and posts though so feel free to contact me!

My background: I have played sports my whole life.  I was an NCAA athlete in college, earning letters in four sports: volleyball, lacrosse, track and equestrian.  I still ride horses, run half marathons, and play on volleyball and softball rec leagues.

I earned a B.S. in Biology followed by my M.S. degree in Physiology from Georgia Southern University and am certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer and the American College of Sports Medicine as a Group Exercise Instructor.

I met my incredible husband playing softball here in Virginia and we got married in the fall of 2014! We are expecting our first child this winter (2016) and are so excited to become parents! We love staying active working out, playing sports and being outdoors with our awesome labrador retriever, Georgia :)

I am currently taking on new clients and would love to talk to you more about how I can help you reach your health and wellness goals.  I would also love to see you in my classes so check out the classes I teach side bar on the main page for more info!
